camping

Brian and I went camping with some friends (Tabor and Rebecca and their little baby) in Cottonwood Canyon last weekend.
I hate camping.
We had to hike a mile to get to the place and gain about 700 ft in elevation (within the first 500 ft of the hike I sware) and we slept outside in the freezing cold with no tent.
It was soooooooo pretty though:) and we had a good time.  Def don't need to camp again for a while.
Here are some pics but it's WAY prettier in person...

you can see our stuff down there if you look close...we hiked up through the woods

A lake with no fish:(

I am aware that I look like dump. Don't worry about it

So that's all:)

the good thing about today

I got this whole giant piece of meat (some ham) for FREE! This means I don't have to cook dinner! I love work parties. Oh I also got corn and ice cream:) I know this looks a little sketch but it's DELISH! (I had a little sample of it...brown sugar glaze...yum yum)

Happy Thursday :)

a 9 person bike

Dont' worry, Brian and I just took this 9 person bike (it's his grandpas) for a little joy ride down the canyon on Saturday. It was pretty sweet. Then we saw a really bad car accident, not so sweet.
Here's the bike:

oh and here's my little sis with a nasty ice cream mustache. she looks like a boy :)

Have a happy Monday :)

the big 24!

I know...two posts in one day. I HAD TO DO IT because this babe is 24 today!!!!!!!!

Here's why shes one of my favorite sisters:
She's a babe
She's funny
She laughs at the same dumb things I think are funny
She has weird toes
She's smart
She works hard
She's got a little party in her ;)
She's the best older sister ever

Happy Birthday Britters!  I love you :)

red meat

Brian insisted that I post this. he he. Enjoy :)

So we went to Harmons on our lunch break to grab some stuff for dinner tonight (we're making pizza) but we wound up getting a lot more than just mushrooms and italian dressing.

We wound up with these bad boys:

Harmons was just having a great little meat sale (and a DR PEPPER sale!!!!) so we stocked up!
We don't usually get steaks cause they're a little spendy for our small income. Consequently, we're the frozen chicken type.

NowI have tons of red meat to figure out how to cook and a happy husband.

Can I just say. Brian asked me at least 3 time to take a picture of him and the meat so we could send it to my brother and step dad (they were proud).  He also let this little gem slip "babe take a picute, I could be on the blog"

Ha I love this guy! He's the cutest :D

Happy cooking!

heres the thing

I accidnetally did't take ANY pictures when we were in Idaho. Sorry...forgot my camera! But I can tell you we did all the things that I predicted we would, besides playing tennis...too hot. Also I got a gnarly sunburn on the back of my legs.  I'm walking like I'm a 90 year old woman. It's the worst, not to mention going to bathroom now takes me 9 times longer and hurts like a you know what (the leg all the way up to where my little swim suit bottoms sit is fried. and also my face is burnt and peeling. nasty). But even though I am hurting a little it was a fun weekend with lots of food and volleyball and boating oh and also some seriously sweet fireworks.

They pretty much looked this huge and aweesome for 30 minutes straight!
 Happy Fourth of July!

happy holiday weekend

Here's the thing. I hate thinking of titles for these posts becuase I just have like two titles that come to my mind and they've already been used. lame. But anyways...I'm just sitting at work eating my second pack of gushers for the day, except I think they're expired cuase they don't really "gush" when you bite them but oh well, they were free. Anyways, I just thought I would blog and fill you in on some weekend plans.

Brian and I have made it a tradition each year to spend our fourth of July weekend in Idaho Falls with his aunt, uncle and cousins. Really it's not a tradition but we went last year and it was fun and better than being in lame-o Utah so we're going back:) Here are the things we will do:

1. Probably play wa-shoos, I will most likely lose (don't worry if you don't know what game i'm referring to...I prob just spelt it wrong!)
2. BOATING! Yes! Utah makes me want to die all summer because it is hot and there is no beach. I miss Washington.
3. Play some tennis (I will probably lose when we do this too, don't feel bad for me, it's a very common occurance that I'm used to at this point)
4. See some great fireworks.  People try to tell me that Idaho Falls has the best fireworks ever...certainly better than lame-o Utah but I think Washington gives them a run for their money :)
5. Hang out with our favorite aunt, uncle and cousins! and no one really knows what else will happen but it will be great.

Here are some great pics from last summer. I'll post some from this weekend when we get back next week :)

we'll see these cute girls...

these two love birds

and Whitters of course

oh here's us by the falls

dont' worry i'm just slaying that wake!

Can't wait til 5pm! Have a happy holiday weekend!
